Never Look Back

Never Look Back is a rousing mid tempo with a message of perseverance. It imagines the choir on a return voyage, far from home, but determined to get there. Its theme, though, is of moving on from any sort of storm. It features a duet and hearty choral vocals on its second verse, and a heartfelt bridge leading to an extended dance moment.

Though the storm has broken
And the moon and sun have both shown
Still this is uncharted
And the path ahead is unknown
Who knows what's beyond us
Or if the winds have got us on track

But we'll never look back
Pushin' on 'till the fear is gone
Never look back
Even as night fades to black
Never look back

Though the waves are breaking
Though our hearts are aching for shore
When the journey's over
We will see our homeland once more
That will keep us going
Even if we're blowing off track

We will never look back
Pushin' through 'till I get to you
Never look back
Even as night fades to black
Never look back

'Cause if I look over my shoulder
The courage I've stored up might fail
Might wish I was stronger or older
And maybe I'd bail
So I look forward
And onward we sail

Even if all that's around us is fading to black
Never look back
