This transition number begins with a funk instrumental feature that provides a flashy introduction for the main soloist, a 'salesman' who offers a miracle product that will provide a means of escape from the problems of life. (The SSA version features an alternate solo in a treble range.) The intro leads into a smooth soft-shoe during which the salesman works his charm on the crowd. It also features an optional backup trio of 'assistants' helping to close the deal.
