Dissonance
This ballad describes the feeling of cognitive dissonance, the discomfort that arises when one discovers an inconsistency between what they've been taught to believe and the actual truth that reveals itself from experience and inner wisdom. The arrangement starts with a lengthy soprano solo (with a baritone version available in the TBB voicing) and continues with a full choir a cappella section, climactic build with full band, and a final dissonant a cappella swell before a peaceful resolution.
